Why Raw Aluminium Needs Protection

Aluminium is celebrated for its natural corrosion resistance due to a self-passivating oxide layer. However, high-end architectural systems demand absolute finish longevity and customized aesthetics.

Exposed to industrial smog, high UV indexes, and coastal sea spray, untreated aluminium surfaces can pit and fade over time. Electrostatic powder coating provides a robust barrier, safeguarding structural integrity and color vibrancy for decades.

The Multi-Stage Pre-Treatment Process

The secret to a durable powder coat is not the paint itself it is the preparation. Profiles go through a rigorous chemical pre-treatment wash consisting of degreasing, acid etching, and demineralized rinsing stages.

This process removes all surface contaminants, creating a clean substrate for chemical bonding. A chrome-free conversion layer is applied to guarantee maximum adhesion of the dry powder particles during the electrostatic spraying stage.

Electrostatic Application & Curing

Dry powder paint is charged with static electricity as it is sprayed, causing the particles to cling uniformly to the grounded aluminium profiles. The coated profiles then enter a high-temperature curing oven.

At temperatures around 200°C, the powder melts, flows, and chemically cross-links to form a continuous, hard, and weather-resistant polymer skin. This finish resists impact, scratching, UV degradation, and chemical exposure, ensuring your profiles remain pristine.
